Does anyone have a part number for a good Kevlar replacement belt for the 8" Jimna chipper?

OK, I did more research and did some measuring on the chipper.

It looks like they don't make kevlar "cogged" belts. The cogged belts are AX series belts and the AX 42 belt is 44" (1118mm) OD and the AX41 belt is 43" (1092mm) OD.

The belts on the chipper now are just over 43.625" or about 1110mm OD so I've ordered 5 Gates AX42 belts and will see how they work.

I replaced mine with non cogged belts. They have worked well. Cogged is good for small pulleys and not necessary on the chipper setup.

Non cogged try to bulge a little as they bend into a pulley, giving better grip.

I agree with spyder. The belts in our Chinese chipper are non cogged and it works fine. Or atleast until I put a whole 8" tree in. I guess reading the manual helps sometimes.

Yes siree. I learned the hard way to "manage" the larger diameter logs.

My chipper is about 8 years old and spent the first 6 on a coffee plantation. It has cogged belts so that is what I bought. I'm committed now so ... I'll let you know.
