Howdy all,
I picked up a used Boom pole a little while back and decided to paint it today. It was ford blue to start with so i went back with that color. I was hoping someone might know the brand it looks way to well done to be homemade. Its 4 inch round steel and very heavy. I also added Ford emblems to match my other equipment

Actually to me it looks to well made to be factory made. To many little things that would be cut out in a factory like three blocks under the top rod instead of just one, the pole would have been bent instead of cut and welded. The rod on top is wrapped around the ends of the boom instead of just welded to the top of it. If I had a choice of a factory boom pole or that one I would choose yours. Looks strong and very well made. Ed

That may be the best looking boom pole I've ever seen. Very well made.

I agree with Ed -- probably not factory made. I zoomed in on the second picture to a couple of the gussets and flat iron. The edges were cut with a torch. Probably not factory, but a big hat-tip to whoever built it.
Wrapping the ends of the pipe, the wrapped top rod, the way the joints are cut. Someone spent a lot of time on it. Keep paint on it and it will last multiple lifetimes.

I ended up building a boom pole, but had I seen that one for sale, I would have bought it. Looks far heavier than most.

I bought a 8 foot Ford disc, 9 shank tiller, and a 2 row cultivator and the guy threw this in on the deal. I had been looking for a boom pole but wanted a strong one this one was perfect. I used it to unload my other equipment when i got home its some great quality work i agree!! I thought there was to much precision work for a home made job but, your right someone spent many hours crafting this one. I was offered $250 for it when i got it home by the neighbor but, this one is staying put...lol thanks all for the input!!
