Better to long than to short! It a good idea to leave a couple of the side links extra. If the extra "loose" links clang on the fender just tie them out with a plastic cable tie.
As in most things, you get what you pay for. I looked a the net for chains also. Ended up buying through NAPA. They can get tire chains from Security Chains. The cost 75 buck more but fit like a dream., Although a bit of a pain to put on, the chains weight about 70 lbs per side!
