Greetings,

Somewhere I saw a 3 sided box that someone designed for carrying 'stuff' with your front forks. It was made from 2x4's and 2x6's I seem to recall. It had that perfect balance of strength and light weight. I've tried lots of different search terms, read most of the "What do you do with your forks" thread (my internet arrives on a donkey, so some of the posts are too big), but I just can't seem to find it.

I've got a small pile of 2x4's and 2x6's laying around so I keep going back to the forum to try and find this lost post. Currently I've been using 4 pallets screwed together with a dozen 3" GRK's and it's amazing how well it has worked for almost 2 years, but it's time for something a little more robust.

Primarily I'm moving firewood, occasionally I throw a tarp in the box to act as a liner and fill it with wood chips. I'm very open minded if someone has a better solution then I'm asking for. I'd even buy such a device if it was cheap, sturdy, and light weight (I know pick any two).

TIA

No, it was more of a 4' cube or 3 sided box. In fact I kind of copied the idea when I screwed the 4 pallets together. Whoever created this idea had some design chops because it looked very sturdy but also relativity light weight.

Thx accelerate :)

Thanks for the help gents, we are getting close but no cigar so far. I am picking up new ideas however. I had seen the one built by 94BULLITT, I plan on adding the chainsaw scabbards to whatever I end up building, that's a great idea. And amigauser owes me a beer, every time I look at something on YouTube I lose an hour! (just kidding about the beer, of course).

Might be a dumb question but why not use the loader bucket?

Attached are some pics of a carry all I made for my 2538 fork attachment. It is made out of treated 2x6 and 4x4's. It measures 6' x 4' and I have $120 in materials in it. I debated welding a steel frame but I wasn't going to end up saving much on weight. The total weight is right at 420 lbs. I have some u brackets that I will attach to the back so that I will be able to dump. Once I get those on I will see if I need a channel on the bottom for the forks to slide into.
