As always, I'm overthinking stuff so I need advice making my final choice between two Land Pride rear blades for my Deere 3720 (cab version).

$2,260 (before tax) RB3784 - with hydraulic angle, end plates and skid shoes. This is a 7' blade that weighs 630 pounds.
$2,800 (before tax) RBT3584- with hydraulic angle, end plates and skid shoes. This is a 7' blade that weighs 709 pounds.

My primary use is plowing snow on gravel, asphalt and concrete access roads using the blade in an offset and angled positions. The gravel driveway will be paved in the springtime. I have the larger R4 tires, wheel weights and no tire chains. The terrain does have slope but it's not too severe. Lastly, I'll have a Deere 59" snowblower on the front of the 3720.

I did consider the comparable Frontier RB2184H for $1885 but I think the Land Pride is a much better blade.

Thanks for your feedback in advance!

P.S. Does anybody think a 7' blade in offset and angled positions is too wide or heavy for a 3720 Cab tractor? Will it push the front end constantly? I don't plan to have the side plates on if using in the offset and angled positions.

While both blades are good blades and ones that I often recommend, the RBT blade is by far a superior unit. As far as the tail wagging the dog, are your rear tires filled or are you going to get them filled? Fill them if they are not already. A 7' blade is perfect for your tractor.

If you want to save a few dollars and end up with even a better product, order the RBT3584 with no hydraulic or any adjuster for that matter for the angle position. Get the hydraulic and hose kit from me. I will provide a welded cylinder instead of the tie rod unit that LP provides and my hoses won't be a mile long.

7 foot should be fine. When angled and offset you may have a problem with it pushing the back end sideways. If not already filled, fill the tires like MtnViewRanch said. And if you're not going to run chains, I suggest you groove your rear R4 tires from front to back to help prevent them from getting pushed sideways. I have nothing to say about either blade except that I doubt you can hurt either with that tractor. I'm running a lighter blade on a heavier tractor and haven't hurt it yet and have done a lot of dirt work with it.

For moving snow, you wont have any issues.

For gravel drive maintenance you wont have any issues.

For moving loose dirt you wont have any issues.

For scraping up packed dirt and grading, with the blade angled, you will learn why tractors have split brakes.

Your tractor has a tad more weight than mine, especially with the cab, but I have R1 tires. So I'd call that a wash. I have a 7' 700# blade and do all the things I just described.

While scraping up virgin ground can be tricky at times, I would not want a smaller or lighter blade.

Just as a comment as to Brian's work - I have one of his creations [top link] and it is a thing of beauty!
He even knew to adjust for the revision of Pat's quick hitch that I have [he asked, I told him when I bought them, he did the rest].
Hoses are perfect length.

Thank you Brian for making such a quality product!

[this is on a 3046r cab in case anyone was wondering]
