I just picked up a Jacobsen 548100 3 point slit seeder . Picked it up from a golf course for $ 300.. The guy showed me the basics of it , but I didnt ask him what my ground speed should be ? Has anyone had any experience with one of these or something similar .

I did a Google search with "jacobsen 348100“ and the first was a hit for a PDF of the manual. If it's the correct one look on page 11. The following link may or may not take you to the results of the search. I don't know how to link to the pdf. jacobsen 548100 - Google Search

I have an older Olathe, now Toro, that was bought from a guy who bought it at a surplus school auction. It was used to re-seed a local high school foot ball field, before they went with astro turf. I downloaded the manual for it, and it said up to a max. of 6-7 mph.

I use it behind my IH 240,and pull it in 3rd gear, which at best may be 3.5 mph. Could have used the 3 cyl. Ford 2000 to gain ground speed, but use more than twice the fuel. It's not pretty, but it works great..!!
