SkidPro Tree Puller

Mine will work on the loader -- or 3-point hitch. I never use it on the back because it is so effective in front. The rear lift capacity is greater however there is no curl function there which is extremely important. I am not limited so much by the loader lift capacity because it will lift the rear tires off the ground on larger trees.

If you had a hydraulic top link wouldn't you have curl? My 3ph lifts more than double what the loader lifts. If you are lifting the back tires off the ground you are being limited. If you are lifting the back tires off the ground then you are not even meeting the rated lift capacity.

Dude, I like that! Who makes it?
But I agree, you maybe need more balast.

I looked at that design, and the one that's built like yours but the clamping action instead of going left and right it is going " to and fro " ugh "front to rear" ugh ? "away from the tractor then back". Of course you'd loose a little lifting power but could reach out farther or maybe in between something you didn't want to disturb. I use mine for keeping up the property not making a living with it so I went a little cheaper but I'm happy with it.

You may need to throw a little weight on the 3 pt hitch. Would make a smoother ride when the tree turns loose. I use a skid steer with it and man sometimes its worst than riding a bull.

These folks made it for me...

Buckthorn Puller - Custom built Skid Steer attachments to fit almost any need you may have.

Don't ask me to pronounce it!
I can easily add more ballast, but I am more concerned with bending my loader than flipping the tractor. Most of the trees I am pulling-out are willows. They come out easy and they are straight enough to put through the chipper whole, after sawing off the root balls.

At the extreme risk of hijacking back the thread I started, here is an update on the Skid-Pro tree puller I recently bought. It has been a very wet winter so, using either of our tractors, off road, has been and still is iffy at best.

As previously stated, my purpose for the tree puller is to find an easy way to remove yaupons around the bases of oak trees on our ranch.

First thoughts are that this tree puller will work well with bigger yaupons but, seems to just cut the smaller stuff, 1" and smaller, wherever you clamp on it.

Hard to see from tractor seat so, might have to install a camera on top of the tractor brush guard. Hard to determine when I'm at right place to close jaws when really close to a tree.

More later when it dries up a bit. Right now I'm leaving big ruts with tractor that will have to be fixed later.

Sorry to interrupt!

Pulled the stump of a 6" tree, between several other larger trees that my 84" grapple couldn't get to. EZ-PZ.
