Hi Everyone,

Just bought this 72" Soil Pulverizer Attachment at auction for $300. Ill spend another $2-300 getting it shipped. How do you think I did? Too much after shipping is taken into account?

Thanks,

$600 total including shipping sounds like a fair price compared to new ones costing $1500-2500.
It looks like it was a rental unit that didn't see too much use.

Pictures cab be deceiving, but it does look like it's in decent shape. Any thoughts on the brand??

I think they may have re-painted it. The pallet is also yellow

It may have been pressure washed and painted by the rental company at some point. But that's not a bad thing. I clean and paint my equipment too.
Looks like its a light duty model that has had some bracing welded onto the 3 pt. mount points. I did look at the other pics on IronPlanet and it looks like all the u=bolts that hold the vertical spikes appear to be new. The spikes may be new too, just rusty from sitting outside. Hard to tell brand but may have been built manufacturer of County Line or Taylor Way attachments.

I could use that for a couple of days if you don't mind...

That's a different design than mine and all the rest I can recall seeing. It has the tines in front and looks like a smooth edge on the rear. Never seen one like that and it may be a good design especially for a final smoother grade. Mine is made for busting small clods then you have to smooth for a final grade if you need it. It has the tines in front and rear and the spiked roller like yours.

This is not a one pass and you're done tool it takes running over the area several times to obtain results but heck I like seat time anyway.:)

Appreciate the advice. I'm looking forward to putting it to work. Looks like shipping is going to be $200. I'm pretty happy - not too many 6ft implements that you can get in decent shape for $500.

I bought a 72" double roller Gill for $250. It looks better built, it has two rows of scarifers and two spiked rollers.

Not sure $500 is a bad price, but I would have concerns about it being light. If it is heavy enough though you'll love it. I have a lot of clay soil that clumps, and mine does a great job of pulverizing and preparing the soil for planting grass.

250 sounds like a great price. We have sand for soil out here...
