I have been in the market for a box blade since buying my JCB tractor. I sold my Bobcat tractor with the blade so I had been getting by with the bucket (I added a 3 point attachment) on back of the JCB but I really wanted a box blade. I put a few ads in the local papers and website as well as craig's list but never had much luck. I finally decided it was time as I have some projects planned this spring that will require some dirt work. I looked at options in the 7 ft range with hydraulic rippers. It came down to the Gannon, a unit from Everything attachments, and the Bison. After looking at all the options and pricing them on a $ per pound basis I ended up with the Bison as I felt it was the best value and was a local purchase. Went and picked it up today and put it to work immediately.

I can't believe I waited this long to get one for this tractor. Having the hydraulic 3 point TnT as well as down pressure really takes advantage of the blade. I also really like the hydraulic rippers. I was amazed at how much material I could cut wit this blade compared to units I had in the past. I also found the rippers to be really handy on the solid ice spots. Now I just have to learn to be more careful so I don't rip the driveway up.

It also made the tractor feel much more stable and gave more traction for pushing snow with the loader. Now I justs need to add a trailer hitch and I should be all set.

Forgot to add some specs. 24" end plates that are 1/2" thick. Cat 2, 1,400 pounds.
The only thing I have found that I don't like is there are Bushings in the pin locations for the lower 3 point arms. I noticed one of them move when I was tapping the pins in. Not sure what I am going to do but I could see a bushing slipping out during heavy use and allowing some slop in that attachment point. I do like how the rippers lock in place in the lower position so the hydraulic cylinder is not holding the pressure. It's amazing how easy it is to move even frozen dirt. My driveway is the only sport around with no snow at this point. Even the country road is still pretty covered.

Nice box blade, adding that to your JCB should make for a nice landscape loader rig. I recommend you hold the valve for about a half second each time you lower the rippers at the end of the stroke to make sure the rippers are locked in place.

Not clear on what you mean, are the pins Cat 1?

Sorry I missed this. The tractor has a cat 2 3 point. The bracket welded to the box blade has small bushings that the pin slides in to. Those small bushings can move so I put a washer on the outside of each pin to keep it from moving in or out.

It actually has the step pins. These are just small replaceable bushing inserts. I have mixed emotions on them. I guess it is nice for them to be replaceable so you can keep the connection tight by simply replacing pins and bushings down the road. At the same time if ithe bushing was to slip out and then the operator kept going the hole could get damaged.
