I am looking to see if anybody has any experience with the Woods Groundbreaker BH6000 backhoe on a Kubota specifically a B Series. I have a B2920 and have seen one for sale that came off a B7610. I would like to know if it would be good to pursue, or should I look for a Kubota backhoe. From the spec sheets, it looks like it might be a little bit smaller than the Kubota BH65 and the Woods BH70 might be just a bit bigger. How well does the Woods perform? Does the fact that it sits a little further back on the tractor cause problems?

It is a bit smaller then the Kubota bh65, if it's a good deal and will fit your needs then I would say go for it. I actually like the woods better then the bh65, mainly for the better swing. If you want somthing bigger your tractor would handle the bh70 fine. The Woods hoes do set out a little futher then the factory one but not as bad as some earlier models.

I'm not sure how user friendly the sub frame/mounting system is on the woods but if it's anything like the factory kubota it'll be very easy to use.

I ended up making my own bh for my B2620, partly due to cost of new and partly to not seeing much in the used market that met my needs.
For the cost I'm not a huge fan of the kubota hie hoes until you get to the bh76

I've got a bigger woods on my kioti it's the 90x model. I love it, haven't had any problems and the sub frame makes for very simple mount, dismount

Thank you for the input. I am torn between going for this purchase or waiting a while loans get a Kubota BH65.

One reason I went with my backhoe was because I looked over the specs as far as reach, breakout force, etc and the woods model has good specs, also I considered Woods being a manufacturer of high quality implements and had been for many years, I could have gotten a kioti hoe but I'm not sure where is made, I assume it's just rebranded by kioti, does Kubota actually build their own backhoe or are they buying it and rebranding, if so who is the manufacturer?

Kubota does build their hoes (other then a 3pt model in the past), I'm normally a fan of OEM FEL and BH expecially on kubota's, but in the case of the BH65 I think you would be better off with an aftermarket like the woods.
As blucoondawg said, the specs on the woods is a bit better for a lower cost, the lack of a 180deg swing on the kubota bh is enough to turn me off, earlier woods I didn't like as much but the newer X series seem pretty nice. If I could have afforded to buy one it would have been the 70x.

Yes I wouldn't have a hoe with less than 180 degree swing, I didn't know they made such a thing. A tlb is swing limited anyways compared to an excavator I certainly wouldn't want less yet. I wonder why they do that, to protect the out riggers from getting hit with the bucket?

It uses a single swing cylinder so it limits it a bit, most likely to lower cost, the bx series bh is the same way. I wanted the factory bh for mine but couldn't justify the cost and limitations. Ended up building my own and have been pretty happy, still have a little tweeting to do in it though.

I've a BX70 for my B7610. It works great, except for the fact that I recently tested my hydraulic pressure and it's a bit low. But I suspect it was that way since manufacture. And to compound the problem the access to the valve which I need to shim is blocked by the subframe. So I'll just run it with a little less pressure.
Here's my thread before I bought.. I knew I was going to be moving up in tractor size, but I was only planning on going to 40HP, not 50HP.

For a B2920 I'd strongly recommend the BH70-X, and look at Home » Rosseel's Farm & Garden Supply, Inc. for a source. They give VERY good prices, even with shipping.

I had my 90x shipped in from Rosseels as well, good people to deal with and cheaper than local dealers, of course I did do the subframe install myself, that may be an issue for some who don't have access to tools
