Hey, Folks. My first post here, but not my first rodeo, so to speak. I have ordered the above grapple instead of the Wicked Grapple. Anyone here have this grapple and are you happy with it? Any disadvantages or advantages of this type?

I prefer longer bottom tines for stacking material by hand as well as the ability to nab more material per turn.

In two hours I made an 8' x 20' burn pile today using ETA's original Wicked Root Grapple.

Other grapple styles are flat bottomed that allow them to work like a land plane as well as the ability to scoop under piles and then lift up rather than rolling over the top like the Wicked Root or Root Rake grapples.

Here's a video of the 60" EA Root Rake Grapple in action. The machine is obviously larger than we recommend.

Yep, that's her. I chose it because Ted was having a hard time releasing a load of brush in his trailer with his Bobcat tractor. My B26 is a little larger, but not much. I think it will do what I need without that aggravation.
Yep, I have thought about grinding down the teeth on my Monster Grapple, I have never used it for pulling vines or small brush.

Their Wicked Root Grapple that Ted was using in the video, has a more aggressive tooth shape than the your root rake.

I actually bought a used Blue Diamond grapple, but it was way too heavy for my little Kubota, even though it was useful. I experienced the same problem of getting loose from the load with it. I thought about putting it on E-bay as a battleship anchor, but sold it to a friend who has a Case skid steer.

Yep, same here. Fortunately at max dump on the V417, the tines are nearly vertical, so I just shake it until all the brush falls out.
