It is not technology. Technology is fine as long as it produces RESULTS RESULTS AND RESULTS. With your technology and advancements and you gotta pull the loader off to service the tractor??? Sorry, if I need to Change fuel filter I just unscrew the fuel filter and screw a new on on. Your new technology complicated things. It is back to RESULTS RESULTS RESULTS. Not against technology, but it has got to prof ice. Sorry to upset you apple cart, but it is what it is.

495 and 484 have same engine, but I can't get fuel filter gasket to seat from underneath. On right side I need straight on access. I run eleven hundred implement tires on front and 17.5 R-4 on rear, so never had compaction concerns. These days, tractor is used for mowing. Had a shuttle on my IH 2400B TLB. Wish the 484 had a shuttle, would be nice. The MX is HST, great for loader work. Since the kubota and ford are 4 WD , not so important for the 484. I see that the 495 was built with a ROPS.

Wait, you have the cartridge fuel filters don't you. I have spin ons, that would make a difference. Later 484 had ROPS, at least here, same style as the 495. 7.50-16 pizza cutters here, loader & soft ground don't mix :)

Yep, an FEL throws the weight balance of a tractor way off. My FEL is easy to remove and I do 3-4 times a year to change the balance of the tractor for the task at hand. Shortens the tractor dramatically for tasks such as brush cutting. I have enough trouble keeping the cutter from hitting objects without having to worry about ramming the FEL into something as well. :)

Go to Napa an ask for a fuel for an allis Chalmers 185 and see what you get. A spin on. Loader throwing tractor off balance?? Don't notice a problem. Running into things with 100+ acres??? How the heck would that happen??? The original plan was the 1531 mf. Problem is RESULTS. It is a nightmare. Tell me something. Let's say it is zero and you gell up. Let's say fuel filter plugs up and tractor won't run. How do you get the loader off to change the fuel filter???
