Ok tractor attachments are mosty stored outside and I expect to see a little rust on them but I went to the TSC in Lake Wales Fl and all of their stuff looked used it was so rusty.
Am I wrong to expect when I buy something new for my tractor for it to look new or expect some major discount because it does not?

If its rusty then the paint has been worn off or was bad. I would request a discount.

This has come up before concerning King Kutter. It seems they just pile everything up on the trucks and it gets all beat up in transit. All those little things to add up to get what you pay for...

So they come from KK that way?
and it is normal for a place like this to store their higher cost stuff out to weather?
I also looked at a 3 pt spray rig that was stored inside and the boom was gone along with half the parts and it had so much dust on it you could not tell the tank was white...They still wanted full price

The TSC's in Fort Pierce, FL and Okeechobee, FL also store their implements in the parking lot. Some of them look pretty bad. The more recent arrivals still look OK. Florida sun is really hard on paint, especially red, which is what most of our TSC implements are painted. When I bought my landscape rake last year, there was one that looked like it had gone through a war. I offered to take it for a discount. The manager refused, so I chose the newest, shiniest one on the lot. The rusty one is still there. I don't think he cares one way or the other; sooner or later, it will be the only one there, and someone will buy it.

I think that's common at most places that sell implements. I know the manager at our local TSC, so when I want an implement, I pick out the most disgusting one there, and make him an offer to take that nasty, ugly, rusty, piece of **** off his lot, to make the rest of his inventory look better. He always rejects my offer, but he will sell it to me for 10% over his cost, because he knows it looks pretty bad setting on the lot and is eager to get rid of it. As far as the paint quality, when I bought my boompole there, I noticed that they stack them on top of each other at the factory before they paint them. So they all have areas that don't have any paint coverage. Like they say, you get what you pay for. But all that aside, I still think they are a very good value for the dollar. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Not me!
All of the TSC stores around here also have rusted KK merchandise stored outside. When I was looking at finish mowers last year, I gave up on even trying to buy one by King Kutter.

There's other brands you can buy from advertisers on TBN that offer a better quality product (no rust, better paint job, better fit and finish on the welds, etc) for the same amount of money.

The only thing you're getting from TSC and King Kutter is the convenience of being able to buy it right now without waiting to have it shipped to you.

I bought a KK box blade. They didn't care enough at the plant--they put the KK decals on upside down. Pretty bad I'd say.

I bought a KK XB middlebuster/subsoiler and the logos were installed upside down on it also (see picture). The overall quality of the product was terrible. Big paint runs, bad welds, the clevis for the toplink was too narrow, rust and the hardware to mount the subsoiler blade was the wrong size. I called KK to let them know about the quality issues and they were not interested in the least. I did not return the unit because I needed to use it. It worked fine but it is not much to look at.

I will be reluctant to buy another KK product.
