Hey guys, I'm finally able to pull the trigger on a set of forks for my Mahindra 4035. I have wanted a set of forks with the tall back, so that i can put brush on the forks, pick up logs and whatever else my tractor will allow me to do. I already checked out most of the other companies online and seen a few forks that I would be interested in.

On friday, I stopped at a local equipment place to check out what they sold for pallet forks. They sell 48" Bradco's for $850 plus tax($918 otd). Stupid me, I didnt take a picture of the model number. Im pretty sure they are the 4000lb forks. I tried to find them online for that same price, as I was always under the assumption that Bradco's are very expensive, but all I see is the 6000lb for around $1400-$1500. Im learning towards buying the Bradco's, because I borrow my brother in laws track skid steer all the time and i want the forks to be strong enough to use them with his skid steer. Is $850 the normal price for these forks?

Yesterday I was telling a co-worker about buying the Bradco forks and he says that one of his friends is selling Tomahawk forks. He said he only paid $500 a set for his Mahindra 3016 and the guy had more sets to sell. I contacted the guy selling the forks and he tells me $750 a set. He said he sold them that cheap as he was looking to quickly move the last set he had at the time, so that he could order 8 more sets. He then tells me $700. Im sure these Tomahawk forks will be fine for my needs, but I have seen many posts about Tomahawk forks and I'm a little leery.

$918 for great forks or $700 for no-name forks? The extra $218 might break the bank for some people, but we all know you get what you pay for sometimes.

What are your thoughts?

Good price for the Bradco's?

Good price for the Tomahawks?

Check out tomahawks website. I've seen a bunch of people selling tomahawk attachments on Craigslist for a pretty big markup over what you can buy them directly from tomahawk for. Personally I'd rather cut out the middle man and buy direct from the manurfacturer if you do go with the tomahawk products. That said I haven heard anything bad about them so far.

I wanted a set of Bradco's from EveryThingAttach for my 5035, but the closest trucking terminal they dealt with at the time was in Alpena on the eastern side of the state up by me. I have since bought stuff from them that they shipped to Gaylord just south of me. I bought a set of CDC's off Ebay [ construction implements depot, inc ] that were heavier built for a full size skid steer, but at 375 pounds. The Bradco's are built good and don't weigh as much, taking capacity from your FEL. I still wish I would have just dieseled over to Alpena every time I slide the forks around by hand... getting that ' free exercise ' that I really do need... Don't know anything about the Tomahawk, but CID and Bradco are US made...

Tomahawks website says everything is built in t he USA as well. I've been seriously considering getting one of their 66 inch skid steer buckets for my tractor.

I checked out Tomahawks website after I posted this. I was shocked to see the forks are only $500 a set. Then there is a $186 shipping cost which is to be expected. The guy who is selling the Tomahawk forks told me he bought 8 sets and is selling them for $750 each. I put 8 forks into the shopping cart on Tomahawks website just to see what the grand total was shipped and it came to $3888. If sells them for $750, then he's making roughly $2100 in profit. No wonder why he won't budge on the price lol.

I think it is Titan that you have seen a lot of posts (good and bad) about.

So far all good on Tomahawk. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...mahawk-skidsteer-attachments.html#post4145587

We offer the Bradco, but do not sell many because they are quite pricey.
The EA 3,000# capacity Pallet Forks for Compact Tractors would be a fine choice!

Here's something we do a little different to enhance our SSQA mounts.
Thanks to Eric for pointing it out.

I just purchased grapple from tomahawk AND I would call them. he can tell you what they are rated for and how much they would cost and shipping to your door. I bet you can get them cheaper than you think.

I'm very satisfied with my tomahawk attachment;

But How much do the Bradco's weigh are you comparing apples to apples? Seems like there is over 140lb difference in the 2 of total weight. EA has a step down from the bradco that ranges from 730 to 800 shipped. And 400lbs still 100lbs heavier than the Tomahawk.
