Hey all, I recently reattached my 60" belly deck on my BX2350. I've never adjusted the level of the mower deck since I've purchased it. However when I attached it last week I noticed that the left side is drooping by almost 3/4" lower than the right. When the deck is raised completely the unit is fine. I've tried adjusting the deck via the adjustments near the rear left tire with no luck. Any tips or suggestions?

Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have been victimized by the disease "connecting linkage wearoutitis" your going to find that the connecting linkages are either stretched or worn out or both.

Check your tire pressures too as this will allow the belly mower to sag on one side as well and bind. I hate those things!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tire pressures checked ok. That stinks about the connecting linkage. What's wierd is that it was completely level when I took it off last fall.

I thought that is normal. I got mine used and it has alway been that way. The gage wheels control the cutting height.

I took the belly deck off and measured the distance from the belly hitch points and ground. I've found that it's not a issue with the mower deck itself but somewhere with the hitch points that control them. I've tried adjusting the height with the large adjustment screw in the rear with no luck (it's maxed out). I'm not sure what the deal is. The whole where the connecting linkage is doesn't appear any larger diameter than the other side. I'm considering replacing the linkage arm on the affected side.

For the deck to float properly, the machine sets the cut height and the guage wheels should ride off the ground a little. The guage wheels will help the deck not to scalp as you ride over uneven terrain. Let's say you set the cut height at 4", the guage wheels should be slightly higher so the deck floats, but the guage wheels will make contact if needed to keep the deck from scalping the lawn. UM; your also suffering with side shiftus angulus with an eventual case of bindus mowerus in the lowered position (which is especially acute when mowing on side hill) with regard to your belly mower and its reason for not being "normal"
The linkage has also been shoved a bit sideways as the weight of the entire mower is on the small attachment points and when the mower builds up grass clippings under the deck it adds more weight and stresses the attachment points further out.

Our Wheelhorses did the same thing with the (*&^&*( lift system they had. The heavier the belly mower the greater the stresses over the X-Y plane. it does not take much for them to twist and rack with the lousy method of attachment for them. Whats really fun with them is when the mowers lowered then get stuck and wedged under the tractor and you need a bar to get them unstuck as the linkages bind and can lock up; UGH I hate those things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you intend on keeping that thing(I would not) you need both left and right lift linkages.
