Hey Phil,

I'm up the hill from you in Catron Co. MM 77 on US 60 :)
What was shipping cost to ABQ for you? Where did you pick it up at?

You should be able to find a depot in Las Vegas that would work for you. Some of the privately owned businesses with a dock might be good enough to qualify for the lower rate. When we were building outside Mora we used a building supply for this purpose a few times.

No, I'm in western NM, 77 miles or so from AZ border. Las Vegas is the wrong direction for me. I have picked up at a business in Socorro before, but it has been a while.

Hey GC Muse - The additional shipping cost to Albuquerque was $130. Picked it up at the FedEx freight depot out on the west side just off of Unser Blvd. You're over by Pie Town? Springerville is probably closer than Socorro or ABQ. Probably somewhere there to get it shipped to.

Would have sent it to Socorro and saved a couple hours of driving but the Western Mercantile shut down and that was the only place were I knew someone that could have accepted the delivery. It's like nobody in Socorro has a dang freight dock.

Using the gauge wheels fixed my "peaks and valleys" issues (hoop-d-doos?) and allowed for a very smooth, level surface. I could not have done the fine job it turned out to be without the wheels. There are TBN folks who say they can get a fine surface without the wheels, but I am certainly not one of those and it sounds like you are not either :).

Good to hear as I'm certainly not someone that can get a nice flat surface just using the 3 pt controls.

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the info, that's not too bad.

About 10 years ago I got my wood stove delivered to the Raks in Socorro, they forgot to call me when it cam in, but I went & picked it up no problem.
Don't know if the manager would still do it now. Anyway they have a convenient loading dock.
