Bought a Carry All

thinking about making some type of hauler for a ballast..Anyone on here tried that with one?

no, but be careful and check theweight rating. the one i have and others i've seen don't carry much on the bottom forks, so a ballast would need to be supported by the vertical portion.

Think I will return mine to TSC, wouldn't hook up with my QH (SpeeCo). Tired that QH top link adapter thing it was a no go also, I don't want to have to grind/weld to make it work. No big deal, I will have a ballast box made local or maybe order one from titan.

You could get rear pallet forks. Much more useful and heavy duty. That's my plan eventually, then I can make an easily removable ballast (though it'll stick out a bit more than some)

Purchased my Carry-All at Tractor Supply and it works with my Harbor Freight Quick Hitch. Is the SpeeCo that much different?

I don't know if they different or not. Hook on QH would hit top of the carry all, bottom pins were not installed at the same distance from top pin. I think I just got one that shouldn't have made it through quality control. I called Tarter ( the ones who make it) they said to return it and try another. Tried the QH top link adapter another no go. I sorta lost interest after that and decided to go another way.

First thing I did when I got my QHs was to weld a 1.5-2" extension to the back of the top hook & re-drill the holes. That way the hook sticks out further. Not enough clearance on the top hook is a common problem with many implements & easily fixed.

I have both a carry-all and ballast box. Use the carry-all all the time but very seldom use the ballast box. When I need some quick extra rear weight I just throw some sand bags on the carry-all.

I tried the top link adapter bracket and it didn't work either. I have since returned it to TSC, I didn't want to mess with it
