Ok, all kidding aside, I took off my top link and attached it with a couple clevises. I have a bar between the hitch arms to pick it up with 2 uprights to limit the side to side movement. I tried a pass with it and it just skimmed the ground. I think I may have to add some weight to get it to dig in, or maybe I need to lower the attachment point?

If you get the attachment point at the right height it will work. Did you notice the row of holes in the end of the beam? That is how fine of an adjustment you need. Look at a pic of someone plowing with a horse and see how high it is from the ground. Ed

If it has wheels just hook it up with what you got. Then you have to adjust the plow. It should have a wheel driven lifting device built in. Google for pictures.

If it has two handles on the back don't even consider, just derust, paint for lawn ornament.

It used to have 2 handles but they were missing when I bought it. What I have is a John Deere 330. All there is for adjustment are a series of holes at the end of the arm.

I like what you did with yours, but i don't want to go quite that direction with mine. I tried mine out again last night and I think it is still mounted to high. It doug in a little better but still just scraped the grass off the top. even tried standing on it.....nothing. I watched a couple horse plowing videos and their plows are hooked really low. I may have to got to the drawbar.

Is your John Deere plow something like this?

We attached this type to an AC-WD45 tractor with a short chain. The guy steering the plow was new at it and it tired him out fast and the garden was tilled by the neighbor the next week.
