I picked up an old horse drawn plow at a flea market this past weekend. My girlfriend wants to decorate with it, but I thought I might be able to use it to plow my garden by pulling it with my tractor. Has anyone else done this? Any ideas on how to attach it? I was thinking of using the 3pt hitch to raise and lower it some how, but I haven't sized things up yet.

Hook it with a chain and have you girl friend walk along and guide it. :D Ed

+1.

There's harness available for her too.

I've seen it on the interwebs... it looks good but I don't think it's very practical for this application.

Many years ago, we converted a 2 bottom, drag type plow to a 3 point hitch hookup. I believe it is a heavier, better plow than most new ones you see today.

No if they pulled it in the other direction it would not dig in, it would just slide on top of the ground. :D Ed

The wolp is a pretty rare implement, used to fill furrows.
