OK, I need to get rid of my lawn service. They ticked me off for the last time. But I'll need to find a drop spreader for the fertilizers. I don't want the type that slings it out, a lot of the fertilizers available around here seems to be almost dust and it's carried by the wind, which we have a lot of here. Last fall, I tried my neighbors 2' drop spreader (push type) and it worked great, but gees...it'd take me a week to do my yard at that rate, and even more for the back property. What I need is one that is 4' wide and doesn't cost $1000.

So, does anyone know who makes a 4' wide drop spreader that I can tow behind my BX?

Thanks folks!

How about a Gandy? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Check out the 6500 Series.

edit: It looks like the 6500 series is out of your budget. But the 36" and 42" models start well under $1000. See the Wikco catalog under Spreaders for the full product line.

BillG, can you point me toward the prices on the 6500 series? I was unable to find it.
