NH TC-30
Just bought a NH TC-30 with a 105A tiller. No manuals or anything. How do I check the oil? What kind of oil? Help? Grease?
Any tips or suggestions?

If you do not have a Cardan slip clutch PTO shaft you need to invest in one for the tiller and your tractor to protect them from damage.

As you have only provided on photo-we need more images.

The chain drive for the tiller may have a simple splash type oil bath system.

A local New Holland dealer in your area can sell you a manual or you can buy one from Messicks on the forum here.

1. Standard 90 weight gear oil, red lithium grease.

2. the vent in the gear box needs to be checked to make sure its is clear of debris and it can be used to fill the gear box only the bottom of the level plug as it has a splash lubrication system.

3. The oil level is checked by removing the pipe plug in the center of the rear cover the oil levell cannot be above the bottom edge of the plug hole.

WE need pictures fo everything please as we can not help you otherwise

1.Left and right side of tiller end weldments

2 tiller front

3. close ups of the gear box

4. chain drive with cover removed
a. chain to examine its condition and wear
b. chain sprockets upper and lower
5. all open bearings on left and right side on drive shafts
6. tiller rotor bearings left and right
7. inside views of tiller bearings under the shroud-you may have to turn the tiller on end to take good pictures
