I am close to buying a B2910 Kubota. Two attachments I would like are a Box Blade and a Rear Blade. I am comparing a Befco BBS 060 Box Blade at $570 To a Woods GB 60 at $535. Iam also comparing a Befco Rear Blade BRB 072 at $485 vs a Woods RB 72 at $390. I have a befco 60" finish mower and like it but would just like some opinions on the above. Quality cost etc.
Hope to sign the papers soon.

The side plates on the BEFCO box blades I looked at seemed a bit light duty compared to the 3/8" thick of the Land Pride BB1548 that I purchased. The overall construction of the Land Pride unit seem better constructed that the comparable BEFCO blade. I have not seen the Woods box blade up close so I can't comment on that.

My dealer sells both Woods and Befco. He recommended the Befco with the Kubota because of matching color. He said they are comparable in quality. I have the Befco 60" boxblade and a 60" Woods rear blade and 72" Woods rake. They are comparable as far as the quality of build. I would go with the Befco as it matches the 'Bota paint better.

I understand that Woods manufactures their implements in matching colors as well. Is this not correct? John

Are we talking about a fashion show or a tractor implement? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I surely wouldn't choose a tool based on the color. If it's that important, buy the better quality tool and paint it the color you want.

My Woods 1006 FEL is Kubota orange...the bucket is black and that don't matter a bit to me.

Agreed. If tools are really used, the pretty paint job doesn't last more than a few passes anyway. For that type implement, just give me rust-colored primer on the parts that don't engage the ground.

Try reading the entire post before replying. I stated that they were comparable in quality but the Befco he had was orange and matched the tractor. I went out and looked at the box blade (Befco) and the rear blade (Woods) and the Befco appears to have used heavier steel and looks better overall as far as quality.
