I was using a TR3 for the last two years and during the winter purchased a T-6 Glennmac Harley Rake. After purchasing the Harley I traded the TR3 to the dealer thinking I would not need it.
I used the Harley Rake one time and realized real fast the Harley rake would not do what the TR3 does and the TR3 does not do things as well as the Harley Rake. So I called the dealer back and got my TR3 back.

First, the biggest difference is the TR3 can push dirt backwards the Harley can't. Backfilling around a house foundation and around things the TR3 wins hands down. For spreading tri-axle loads of dirt and leveling the TR3 wins again. The TR3 can move bigger rocks and debris but most is left on the lawn.

The Harley rake leaves a great finish look, it cleans up most all the rock and debris. The Harley is great at removing grass and vegetation. The TR3 can remove it as well but only after several passes. It would be best to have both, the tr3 to backfill and level dirt and the Harly to finish it off and remove all the junk.

Well since the T-6 Harley cost $6,600 new and the TR3 with steel prices high is over $3000, having both is not an option for most. So having to choose between the two I am staying with the TR3 because it is more versitile for what I need it for. Anyone want to buy a new Harley Rake???

KCH,

I am happy to see you posted this info. I priced a TR3 today and it was 3600 plus shipping. This was for a 90 " unit. 1100 pounds. It is pricy as well. About 4K all totaled. A Land Pride 8' power rake was priced at 5800.

I do beleive , I will be getting the TR3 about 2 wweks before I need it for the first time. I think I will be about 6 weeks before I order it?????

Thnks again for your post.
