I am new at this as I have had same equipment for 30 years and now the old bush hog and it took me that long to get the hang. Slow learning curve I guess. I had to relearn how to attach each time I disconnected. Thanks to youtube and patient kind people coaching me.

Anyhow,

First: I am afraid to purchase used BEFCO TORNADO as I'm not sure if its compatible w MY KUBOTA L2850's PTO? I assume so.
Second: I am not sure how to tell if drive line fits or if I will need to get someone to cut it
Third: I am not sure if drive line is OK to use as the black slider plastic is broke up and owner said he walked it too many times.
Fourth: He's asking $1000 w/ quick hitch, can I offer $600 in NJ, USA?
Fifth: If he can't get his tractor running to show me it works, is it crazy to ask him to bring it to my tractor (10 mi) and if it works I keep it & pay?

Sorry, so many questions, I just don't know.

It's times like this that I wonder if I should have moved in the girlfriend instead of getting a divorce:)

Thanks for helping out

Should be able to count the splines and measure size to see if it matches.

You can offer whatever you think is reasonable. Do your research to see what it's worth. I know I wouldn't take 60% of my asking price u less I knew it was way over marked.

You can ask him to bring it over....but if his tractor won't start, how do you expect him to load it? Have you offered to take your tractor over to the seller? You prove it will mate up and if it works. You tube can teach you how to cut down a drive shaft if needed. The problem would be if he cut it down and it's too short.

Thank you so much Jkott. I will count splines from pic I took and my Kubota.
He said he paid $22k one year ago, dealer said today new cost is $17k to buy today. He said he used it 5x. Seems honest. Drive line was wacked a lot he said and plastic sleeve is broke up.
Good idea get my machine to him. Of course he can't lift it! Silly me! Then I'll know if it fits, bc too short is possible, if he cut it, good point!
