Mine aren't popping off/out, I keep breaking the ring that snaps in place to hold them..Now these are the cheap made ones, not even sure if they're Chinese quality.

I've broken a few of them, but I buy them 6 for a $1 at TSC. Can't expect much at that price.

The black ones have an extremely stiff ring, so I think it'd definitely solve the OP's issue.

I've never broken a cheap one though... and I think a lot of mine are from the HF assortment. There's not that much force on the "pin" part, and nearly zero force on the ring itself unless it's being contacted in an odd way. So maybe just changing your supplier would solve the issue.

I'll second or third the Black ones from TSC, but be careful they bit fingers, but they will do the trick! Lol

OK, you are sick of it by now but those black HD ones from TSC are tough.

I've never broken one of the blacks while several of the golden ones have either bent or the spring loop comes off. It doesn't happen often but it is a pain when it does.

On some of mine I have added a short length of very small chain that I wire (or bolt) to the 3 point arms.
Also I keep a selection in my mounted tool box along with various pins or suitable bolts to replace lost pins.
(had to drive back home with equipment dangling by a rope a couple of times)

Prevention is worth a pound of cure!
