Snowblower snowblower size

I've got a Kubota b9200hst 22H, 16Hpto. Anyone using similar machine to blow snow using rear mount blower? My manual mentions SUBFRAME NEEDED and I want to know if that refers to front and or rear mounts.

Also, does the machine size seem appropriate for 5' rear pto blower?

Sorry, I think your 16 PTO HP tractor is too small for a 5' 3 point snow blower. I would think 25 PTO HP would be the absolute minimum for this implement. At least with the HST you can control the load somewhat by going very slowly.

I have a B8200HST and the owners manual states that the largest you can use both front or rear is 60". So your B9200 will have no problems with the 5ft. rear blower. As for the sub-frame, thats for front blowers.

I've used a B7500 with front 54" blower and it struggled in deep snow (more than 10" or so) I think the B7500 is 21HP at the engine so it's about the same as the 9200. I'd go 54" if you can find it, or plan to go slow at times.

I have a 54" on my B2910 (30hp at the engine) and it only bogs down when trying to move frozen snow piles left by plows.

Snow blowing is one of the few attachments that really load down the engine. Most other cases seem to tax the machines traction capabilities well before the engine gets overloaded.

"eemry" If you want to go with a 3pt blower, ask your dealer if he can get "Ber-vac" blowers. I own one that is 63" and it works very well. It is a direct drive blower, no chains to break. It's a 2-stage blower. The only time it makes my motor work hard is when I'm blowing the snow straight back and it builds up to the point where it's coming back over the top. The're built very rigid and they also make them for front mount too. My L2350 is rated 25hp at engine and 20/21hpto. The last snow we had a couple weeks ago was about 10-11" and very wet and it blowed it very well. Awesome! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
