Hello all,
I have just paved the driveway, and intend replace the loader/rear blade method with a three-point blower. With steel prices on the rise, I thought it might be wise to shop now, rather than in the fall. I found a Blizzard B54 at my dealer for $1500, new. This seems like a good deal. Does anyone have any feedback, good or bad, on these blowers?
Thanks
Koby

I have a Blizzard 64" & I think it's build quality is very good. I know it works real well. I especially like the rotation of the chute, an open worm gear rather than a cable system that I've seen on other units. I think you'll be happy with it. The price seems good as well.

Does anyone know where these Blizzard units are built? I am interested on a 3 pt blower and have looked at Meteor and Lorenz. The Meteor has a conventional auger feed and the Lorenz has a different 2 shaft paddle auger system? I have not seen the Blizzard type. Anyone have experiance or knowlege of the functional differences in these units or their system types?

The Blizzard blower are built in Quebec by RAD Technologies. The main auger is more conventional with a couple of flat paddles attatched. Maybe its more like a cross between the other two?

Gray, my dealer has sold both Meteor and Blizzard. He claims that the Meteors don't blow snow as well as the Blizzards. Maybe the auger design? For what its worth.
