Installed tine rotor "trash guards" output side, on my new KK 60" tiller....

The old maletti tiller has'em from the factory and they work very well on the maletti keeping vine, twine and other seal killing items from wrapping around the rotor and into the gear box seal.

Made from 1/2" key stock and a piece of old 2"x 3/8" strap I had lay'n around.

Thanks for following up with a picture. That makes much more sense now that I see it up close. I'm surprised that isn't a standard guard on most tillers because it would be a selling point. It looks like they could even make some that could be bolted on with the tine bolts.

You bet 850:D

I was close to a 'bolt-on' type, but I lacked longer tine bolts for my idea. On the maletti they are welded on also.

I just saw your other post where you added the picture of the Maletti guards too. - Thanks
On this KK, did you add a spacer block only to the guard shown on the top? That must be the 1/2" key stock.

Yep, 1/2'' key stock. 2''x3/8'' strap is the main part of guard.
The guard on the other side looks the same just cannot see it
