I recently acquired a used disk. The previous owner pulled it with a Cat 2 tractor. My tractor has Cat 1 three point hitch. I have looked for new pins with the threads of a Cat 2 and pin of a cat 1 (reducing down), but can't find either bushing or new lower arm pins that will fix my problem. I could use the standard cat 1 pins, but the oversize hole will not be stable or last very long on a disk. Anyone solved this problem?

I have a snowblower intended for cat 2 and I installed cat 1 pins. I think I used a bushing from TSC and cut it to length to make up the difference. Let me look tonight and get back to you. IIRC I used one of these: CountyLine Category 2 to 1 Lift Arm Bushing - For Life Out Here that I cut down. Make sure the cat 1 pins you get have a nice flange and use a large washer under the nut.

I converted my Cat I implements to Cat II and the bolt holes for the Cat II pins I bought is same as Cat I so all I had to do was remove the Cat I and bolt in the Cat II. Yours should be the same.

These pins came with my snowblower that is Cat 2 and used as Cat 1 for my tractor:

I temporarily used it on my flail mower but wanted to change the width of the lift arms so made these pins using a Cat 1 pin and two Cat 2 to Cat 1 bushings with washers welded to the bushings:

I fixed the bushings in place with a bolt and pin so the lift arms would not shift from side to side.

Here are a couple more photos:

The extra washers on mine are to accommodate my Pat's Easy Hitch.

The pins, washers and bushings were in stock at a local agricultural dealer. He also had Cat 1/Cat 2 combinations pins similar to this:

and my cultivator has pins like this:

Search for "cat 1 cat 2 combination pin" to see suppliers.

No, The bolt side or threaded end is larger on HD equipment. Kubota is a medium duty tractor and that type pin is acceptable. However, most HD equipment uses the larger bolt pin (1 1/8") bolt. Check out some Cat 2 pins on HD equipment such as JD, Land Pride, etc. You will see the difference in bolt and nut size. I thought I set out the problem in my post. Sorry if I was not clear. The move to increase from Cat 1 to Cat 2 is available in many forms. Dropping down and filling the larger hole with the threaded bolt and cat 1 pin is where I am unable to find what I am looking for.

You can use a bushing that is 7/8 ID and 1-1/8 OD to either make a cat 1 pin fit a cat 2 lower arm, or make a cat 1 threaded part fit a cat 2 implement.
