Hi having a hard time to get a measurement from the bottom of the cut out where the bottom pin goes to the top hook bottom where the pin goes , i cut the top ears off on my trailer mover and want to weld it back on so it is I-match compatible any info would be great Thanks Mark

The standard quick hitch dimensions (which JD conforms to) is 14.88 inches vertical distance between the centerline of the lower and upper pins. This matches to the standard dimensions of QH compatible attachments which is 15 inches between pin centers. The reason for this difference is that all the weight is carried on the lower pins. The purpose of the upper pin is to control horizontal movement.

Therefore, you should locate you trailer mover pins so the distance between upper and lower pin centerlines is 15 inches. Err on the plus side. If you are less than specified, you may end up carrying weight on the upper pin.

thanks for the reply, what would the measurement be with the bushings on the lower pin and the top pin bottom to bottom measurement Thanks Mark

Measure the diameter/radius of the bushings and add/subtract to get the pin to pin centerline dimensions. The bottom to bottom dimensions will vary depending on whether you are using Cat2 or 3 bushings.
