Finally, I had a chance to install my Bro-Tek Ripper Tooth, but after seeing all the talk about a BH QA, I wanted one. So, I got the guys at Bro-Tek to fabricate one for me that would fit with their Ripper Tooth as well as my BH bucket. So, Dan and Richard and the guys went to work designing it, and presto!

Can't wait to start ripping! (Ground is a little frozen right now.)

PS the BH still fits nicely on my BXpanded.com BH dolly, for those who have one.

I absolutely love my Bro-Tek ripper tooth. It is incredibly handy, and I simply don't know what I would have done without it.

May I ask what you use the ripper for mostly? I'm considering one for removing stumps, etc. and wonder if it's tough enough to stand up to constant max pressure.

Haven't tried mine out on anything substantial yet, but it certainly looks more than tough enough, and it is nice and sharp. Will use it for digging and cutting tree roots this spring/summer as I groom a trail at the cottage.

Still deciding whether or not to file teeth into the front end of the blade. Will have to see how effectively it cuts first. Also, don't forget that Bro-Tek also has a trencher attachment as an option, which bolts right on to the ripper tooth.

It is tough enough to do anything your backhoe can do. You'll tear up something else long before you damage the ripper tooth.

I use mine for digging up and ripping through tree roots mainly. Works great.

I'm a little jealous. I contacted those guys at brotech for a ripper tooth custom made for my yanmar backhoe and they told me they couldn't do it because they didn't offer anything for yanmar. Also contacted some other vendor (the name slips my mind right now) and they said no too. Disappointing considering I was willing to pay a premium for it and considering it says right on the website that they will fab up for any make or mode.

I read a few other forum posts about the tooth and I am always eager to see how well it performs. Be sure to post more pictures and congrats! !

Have you contacted Michigan Iron and Equipment? I seem to remember someone posting that they would make one if you could give them the measurements.
