Well I was bouncin' back and for a while to buy or build a snow blade. I came across a TMG Industrial blade on the 'ol Craig's List at a little implement dealer down the road. The guy tells me they are made in the great white north, Canada. $1500. What the heck. I'll give one a try as I always have too many irons in the fire to build my own right now. When I went to pick it up, it was buried in the snow and I didn't get a real close look at it, but from what I could see it would work. What can you expect for 1500 bucks? Got 'er home and in the shop to melt some of the snow and ice off. Then it was revealed..................... Snot welds, poor paint, and from what could only guess, poor design. Now I could live with the poor looking welds and paint, because after all, it was cheap. But after grabbing the grease gun to lube up the pivot points, my curiosity got the better of me. The main pivot pin design for angling the blade was, well, horse hockey. The pin ran through a piece of tube which I assumed had a bushing with a zerk. Um, where is that zerk? What? No zerk? Huh.......So I pulled the pin and ........................... ( I should've took pics, sorry.)no bushing. The only wear surface for the pin was the top and bottom walls of the tube!?!?!!??:confused3: Pretty sure this thing wasn't made in Canada...................I'm thinkin' somewheres over the sea.....(China:eek:)

So I call the guy up and let him know that this hunk of iron is no good. I'm bringin' 'er back. He says no prob. When I got to his lot I explained to him the predicament. The guy was great and was very understanding. He had only sold a couple and not heard any feedback yet from anyone else. I explained to him that these things where more than likely imported to Canada, not made in Canada. He seemed surprised and said he would check into it.

So if you come across one of these, I'd pass.........................

The mounting side looks nice but agree. The looks like one made for a lawn mower

This one was an 8 footer. Not super heavy duty, but not light duty either. Just irks me to waste a better part of a day dealing with it. Oh well. I guess I will be breaking out the welder to build my own..............................
