I maintain many unpaved development roads and driveways in New Hampshire's White Mountains as my primary business. This video shows my smallest piece of equipment, a Kubota BX22 equipped with front mounted landscape rake (Mahindra) adapted to the BX22. Front mounting increases the dynamic action of the rake, increases visibility, eliminates having to drive over piles of material or debris before engaging it and greatly improves visibility. The wheels are as essential as they are on the front of a road grader, for without them the rake is almost uncontrollable. These wheels have been adapted from my larger tractor, a Kubota L45, that I use for my road work.
I have adapted many different rakes to many different tractors over the years and can show anyone interested just how to successfully do this adaptation. There are miles of roads and driveways out there that need ongoing care and maintenance and almost any tractor equipped with something on the front to lift and push can be used.
