There is a Cub Cadet 408 backhoe for sale locally with subframe. I know it is a Woods 7500 with a different color paint. It has a subframe off of a Cub Cadet 7265. I know this is a wild card question, but anyone that has any information is greatly appreciated. I am wondering how hard it will be to modify the subframe to work on my Mahindra 3016 (2013 model). It is a similar size/weight tractor but I know there will be differences. I am not sure what years the Cub Cadet tractors were made by Mahindra, and regardless they are roughly a decade apart in production. Any thoughts?

Anything can be modified or made to fit anything.. just a question of how much work it will take.

I don't know your tractor or that particular cub backhoe but something's I would verify is if you have a continuous hydraulic exit (if the backhoe needs it, after all it could be pto powered with its own pump).

Secondly are you getting a great deal on it? Sometimes it sounds great because you are paying 3k instead of 7 but factor in all the work, hydraulics, wear and tear parts that may need replacement and something that's New would only be a couple hundred more but a guaranteed fit.

Lastly, being that you know that it's a woods backhoe, why not give them a call and inquire how much a subframe will cost for your tractor? Less work. And you could always sell the used subframe or use it for another project.

Just throwing a couple of ideas out there..

Shui, I appreciate the response. Hydraulics are the easy part, I have installed a 3rd function recently so I am familiar with the workings on my tractor and I "used to be" a hydraulics system technician.

I wouldn't consider it if it wasn't a good deal :). I am looking at anywhere from around $5K for a 3 point mount to around $8K installed for a subframe mount backhoe. I can purchase a 3 point mount backhoe and then purchase a Wallenstein subframe mount for $1200 and be mostly done for $6200.

I verified earlier this week that Woods does not make a specific subframe for my tractor, though I will call them to see if they have any data.

A follow on question would be how different are the Mahindra 3015 and 3016 frames?

I think I answered one of my own questions:

3016

Length: 121.3 in. (3,080 mm)
Width: 63 in. (1,600 mm)
Weight: 2,437 lbs.

3015

Length: 115 in. (2,920 mm) with Industrial tires
Width: 60 in. (1,524 mm) with Industrial tires
Weight: 2,601 lbs.
