Quick attach terminology

SSQA is for sure more common here in the US for tractors up to 60 horsepower. I have never seen a Euro here for these small tractors. You do see it on larger tractors here.

Don't forget the "pin and hook" systems like the one that came on my JD. Might not be as strong as the Skid Steer system but I seldom move more that 3/4 ton anyway, and it is a lot simpler to build a new impliment using them, forks, bucket or snow plow... You can even buy the pins and hooks from JD for a few dollars and carry them in one hand, not like that SSQD plate ...

I buy most of my attachments used. Much, much easier to find SSQA attachments.

The universal skid steer style quick attach will generally have two spring loaded levers at the top center of your loader arms. When you pushed these levers down, they will engage two pins vertically at the bottom. With the euro global style, you will only have a spring loaded lever on one side of the loader arms, not the top. This lever will engage pins horizontally, left to right, to secure the attachment. I have attached pictures of the back of two of our pallet fork frames. The skid steer quick attach system would be the best option as it is very quick and easy to connect. You will also find very competitive pricing on any SSQA implement. View attachment 497912

Thanks for clearing that up Mate... it means that you're still going to have to get off your arse and physically dis-engage/lock the implement you're switching from/to.

I run the JDQA, which is kinda similar to the euro global in operation. No handle but two drop-pins to secure. As I stated, I've had no problems getting implements to fit my QA and the OP won't have a problem either with whatever system he chooses.

Yep. In my neck of the woods your search for used attachments to fit the JDQA is very limited. :(

I agree. I should have mentioned/stated/clarified that the ease of getting implements to fit my QA regarded new implements.

I haven't bought any used (previously loved?) implements for my tractor, so it slipped my mind.

You can easily find attachments to fit the global/euro style as well as the hook and pin (JDQT). However, since so many tractor brands have/are switching to the SSQA, you can usually find the same attachment in SSQA for alot less then any other style connection as this is such a big market and very competitive.
