I'll bet the Valby is a chipper - although they DO make winches too. Anyhoo - they are supposed to be one of the best. At times I'm not allowed to post pics either - no idea what the cause is. When I upgraded to a bigger chipper - Valby was a serious contender - until I found the nearest dealer was in Montana.

I think Tajfun has a winch with the top roller powered, I believe the said that it aided with spooling the cable onto the drum, not hauling in a log. (IIRC)

Yes it is a chipper. Pictures and a video just uploaded to my original post. Too bad it is buried in snow that we just got.
