I am in the market for a medium duty rotary cutter and found a decent price on a lightly used Deere MX6 ($1500). It is the newer rotary cutter with the made in china gear box. I know it was the older made in spain gear boxes that were having issues.
I still have found a few posts on forums that folks claim to have had similar failures on the the new gear boxes and wanted to get a feel from this crowd with experience as to the overall performance of the newer "made in china" gear boxes on the MX6.
I am not opposed to other manufacturers, just don't want to pay a new price for a medium duty rotary cutter.
