Came across this a few days ago. Interesting, and may be practical for some. 3pt hitch that mounts in 2" receiver on truck. Hydraulic operated with manually adjustable top link and sides. Not sure if this had been posted before or if anyone has seen such a setup.

Also came across this one at the same time. A little less functional and cheaper to boot, but could work for some folks.

been eyeing both of them for last month. thought about tossing one on rear of truck to pull a rear blade for snow. or just dealing with dirt lane / gravel driveway.

its just the frame of the truck i am worried about. not sure if i would end up torqueing the heck out the frame.

on other hand. saw a lot of "diy lumber" snow blades folks have created for cars to SUV's to trucks.

i was hoping to find a physical hitch, that simply had a couple extra pieces welded on for attaching lower lift arms. then something sliding into 2" receiver for top link. but so far have yet to find anything including DIY.

trailer version. might extend implement far enough behind, to actually see it in rear view mirrors.
*rubs chin* i wonder.... if my trailer frame work would work, to place something on behind it.

I would say, "Don't do it." A receiver hitch is not designed for that kind of load.

As opposed to yanking 12,000 lb of dump trailer thru a rough landfill or construction site? Or pulling a 1000 gallon fuel wagon off road? A 3pt blade weighs what... 250# to 300#? The first 3pt hitch I referenced weighs in at 150#. Total 400# to 450#. The receiver on something like my 2500 has a 1500# tongue rating with a 14000 lb tow rating. Not sure how a 3pt with a blade, or even a plow for that matter, would overtax a class IV or class V receiver. When the blade is down, much of the weight of entire unit is on the ground with only a portion still on the receiver.

You ever pulled a blade with a good bit of pitch? Plus the set back several feet will multiply the loads dramatically. If you want to do tractor things, get a tractor.
