Attachments for creating food plots.

The nice thing about a cultipacker, it should last a food plot guy a lifetime with no issues. So you should only have to buy one

The ones that EA sell look pretty sweet, and price is not bad.

Get one that covers the width of your tires, and
yes weight matters, as the heavier unit will bust up clods better.
Some units will have trays to add weights.

I think for food plots, the Three Point attach is the way to go, because you can easily pick it up when needed, and in irregularly shaped plots, you will need to pick it up often.

All your help tells me I need a cultipacker. (edited cause I typed cultivator the first time).

I've done research and can find ones that hook up behind an ATV and ones that hook up to a 3-pt. hitch. Prices go from a couple of hundred to a couple of thousand.

I suspect the 3-pt models will have more weight and, therefore, break up dirt clods better.

What do you use?

You'll find all of the EA cultipackers here: Everything Attachments Cultipackers

We're quite behind on most products from our factory because of extremely high demand, but we do have a few 72" models in stock right now.

Too many people "over think" a simple project. BufordBoone, explains it plain and simple. Plus adding lime and fertilizer. In many areas, applying lime to correct the soil PH is more important than fertilizing.

Sure, there are a lot of new types of implements for planting wildlife food plots that are advertised on "Sportsman's Channels" as "must haves", but they really aren't necessary to get to same end result as simple old fashion real farming impliments. ;)
