Can a box blade pulled by a quick hitch be 'canted'?

I don't use the box scraper much, but when I do I sometimes want to 'cant' or tilt it using uneven control arms to scrape a shallow ditch - for rain runoff for example.

Can this still be done using the Harbor Freight quick hitch?

Thanks,

You can tilt the box blade left or right to create or clean a swale if that is your question. I don't see where having a quick hitch will affect the use of the box blade.

lower lift arms and top link connect to quick hitch
quick hitch to what ever 3pt hitch attachment.

you still have access and can adjust the top link, and 1 or both side links on the 3pt hitch,

the only issue with 3pt hitch quick hitches. is that you may need to cut and re-welded some 3pt hitch implements attachment points to fit a quick hitch. it is just one of them things.

also quick hitches place stuff further out on back. meaning a heavy 3pt hitch implement may not be lift-able if quick hitch is installed. a good example would be a rotary cutter (lamen terms bush hog), while rotary cutters are "light" in weight, the extend so far behind the tractor. a tractor can have some issues. ((think teeter tooter on some kids play ground))

some folks toss concrete blocks, concrete bags, sand bags, misc scrap metal, weights on top of there box blades. so the scraficiers and blades will bite into the dirt. this extra weight might play a roll in being able to lift the box blade up.

I had hydraulic top & tilt on my L3200 (should be here this month for the new L4060). At one point I had a back blade & now just have the box blade. Both machines have or had a QH, but that is irelevant to any TnT functionality.

If you tilt the box blade side to side, one side fills up. A little material will flow over to the high side, but not much & it will overflow infront & over the top. With the angled & tilted back blade you could relatively easy make a small ditch in a couple passes. Unlike the box which would be a pain & take many more passes & extra work. Back blades tend to be a lot lighter than box blades, which really hampers there cutting ability in anything not soft.
