Recently picked up this rotary mower and need to replace bearings and seal - have no idea what brand it is. The bearings in the gearbox are Koyo? It has been painted a few times so I have no idea of original color.
the only marking on the gearbox tell you fill half way with oil.

Woods? really? I tried to get them to id it and they have no idea. They told me to check the gearbox casing for info - only thing there is 11002 on the drive shaft side, and fill half way with oil on top. I cannot find any info on this unit anywhere. It is 60".

Yes, really. Its a woods. Google "older woods rotary cutter" then go to images.

Woods used a design that looked just like that for years. Where the gearbox is secured to side plates on both sides rather than a bolt pattern that bolts it down to the deck. I think woods is the only one that ever used a setup like that.

As mentioned, bearings and seals are off the shelf stuff. You wouldnt want to order that through woods and pay big $$$ for them anyway.

Tailwheels are usually generic too.

Really, the only thing that would be hard to source parts for would be gears and shafts inside the gearbox, but then you would be talking about more money than the cutter is even worth if you had to buy that stuff.

So the point is, it really dont matter what make/model it is.
