Toying with the idea of purchasing a 3pt Boom Pole for my Kubota BX2370.

The spec sheet says 680lbs lift capacity at 24" behind pin.

That probably means I need at least a 1000lb capacity Boom Pole.

Any specific recommendations?

Buy the cheapest one at your local farm store. The front tires of your scut will come off the ground long before you need to start counting pounds on the boom pole. Putting 200 pounds on the front bumper will help a lot.

Looking like the only one I could find (order-in) locally is the CountyLine Boom Pole from TSC for $149.

Big tiller has it right.
Kubota says:
Rear lift (at ends): 992 lbs [449 kg]
Rear lift (at 24"/610mm): 680 lbs [308 kg]

That's saying: Even if you connected the load on the boom 24' away from the tractor's 3PTH connection, the boom pole will never see more than 680 lbs.
The 3pth is essentially a lever, adding a boom pole is adding to the long side of the lever. Travel distance multiplies , but lift capacity is divided.

Before I had a loader I used a boom pole quite often. Once I had my wife driving the AC and a formerly horse drawn pond scoop chained to the end of the pole while I operated the handles. I still remember her raising the front wheels off the ground when she popped the clutch. That was back when I had more appeal. Now days I can't even get her to drive my pickup.

Yeah, I probably should have worded my question differently.

So far, I'm seeing 500lb, 1000lb, 1500lb, and 2000lb versions.

What I meant was that the 500lb version is probably too small, so I'd want at LEAST the 1000lb version, and I might even consider one rated for an unnecessary higher capacity if it's a better quality.

love my 3ph boom pole...too hard to see using the loader most of the time (without a spotter)...with the boom pole I can see everything...a hydraulic top link turns the boom pole into a mini-crane...
I welded a receiver ball on the base...now I can drop the trailer load or unload using the boom then tow it where I need it...(one of the best simple mods I've made for my tractor...I use both the boom and the trailer ALL the time.

keeping a pile of gravel around is a big help for temporary front ballast...just load the FEL with gravel for counter balance when lifting/moving/loading loads with the boom...
