Tractor
kubota L3301
I'm new to owning a tractor and trying to decide whether I should get 36" or 42" long forks for my Kubota L3301. They will be used for general moving and digging.

Thanks for all suggestions and I really love this forum.

You probably won't be able to see the 36in over the hood.

I have 42" but would have gone 48" if the 42" hadn't been about $400 less. I have used 48" and I can see them while sitting, I need to stand to see the 42". If you are looking at different ones I would go with ones that have extra roll back built into the fork frame, it makes a huge difference if you are going up and down hills!

I have 42" and painted the tips white to see them from the seat. Don everything I needed them to do so far

I had 48" forks for about 7 years and sold them this year and bought 60". I like them way better. I have to be careful not to stab things behind pallets but the extra reach comes in so handy.

I got some Titan forks for my L3200. They were 42" or 48", probably 42s. Definitely don't go under 42" they will be to short way to often.

I have a set of 48" for mine, sometimes that extra reach will come on handy. Also gives a better platform in case you have something a little oversized. I dont dig with mine, Im afraid I would warp them and then they are useless for moving things on pallets. For digging and prying something from the ground a stump bucket with some teeth is handy.

I think I will get the 42" forks. It's so difficult to make these decisions without being able to look at them or try them out.Thank you for all the great responses.

42" with extra rollback is what I've got. Works good for me. I definitely appreciate the rollback.
