I picked up a 5' LandPride LPGS & a 76" box blade for $1,400 last week. LPGS was in good shape other than faded paint. 5' is a little narrow for my 72" track, but the price was right & I'll give it a shot. I've got a 72" King Kutter box blade. strapped a couple hundred lbs of scrap ontop & it works ok. Wanted a heavier box & the mechinicm to drop the scarfiers is nice. Only manual, but easily converted to hydraulics.

I was mostly looking for the box blade. It's 76" wide & looked to me & the seller like an old Gannon although there is no identifying marks on it. It's obviously been heavily used, but seems to be in decent shape.

Missing scarfiers
Missing spring on one side of the latch mechinism

Anybody know where I might acquire these missing parts? I'm assuming the scarfiers are a generic part. Are they the ones with the notches on the front of the shank & a wedge to keep the notch engaged on the frame?

It looks like some plates on the sides were bolted on, I'm guessing due to wear.

The cutting edges were in good shape but the hinged back woudln't move. When I lifted it up to move it I saw some heavy wear on the substructure there. It almost looks like the welded things up under there defeating the hindged back. 20170916_122802.jpg20170916_122751.jpg20170916_122744.jpg20170916_123027.jpg

From the worn paint showing in your picture, I would say that is right. Measure the slot opening and the size where the notches go, to find replacements.

I have a similar Gannon. All the lever/spring parts were gone on mine when I bought. Maybe a slightly different model, as mine used a torsion spring. I could not find anyone that knew where I could get parts for the lift. So I just removed what was left of the lever and welded a handwinch on it to pull it up. To keep it down, I used a short chain wrapped to the column/front bar.

I was able to buy a new back blade for it. Gannon was purchased by Woods and that's where I got the blade. Mine has all of the scarifiers. Those might be pretty standard.

I will say it is super heavy and cuts like a dream. I'm pretty much done with all the uses I had for it and will likely put it up for sale soon. Just being lazy, as it is a beast to pick up and move. Here is after refurb. I
