Just recently I purchased a set of the Titan pallet forks. I did a lot of shopping around for these and nobody could match the quality, price and free shipping. I bought the 5500 pound forged 4 foot forks. I saw 2800 pound 4 foot forks selling for almost what I paid for these. My tractor can only lift around 3K. I know I will never bend these. What a great deal these are. The other day I received the ultimate new tool, for me anyways. I bought the Igland 4501 logging winch and a self-release pulley block. This will more than pay for itself in the time I will save not cutting roads through our new growth tree farm. The only problem is that the owners manual got lost in Transit. I am also going to put in a good word for the place I bought this from. "Reed Supply" up in St. Johnsbury, VT. I had the winch 2 days after ordering it. Delivery was a lot cheaper than driving 6+ hours round trip to get it. Kevin was great to deal with and is getting me an owners manual for it. In the meantime, if anyone out there can tell me how to use this I would greatly appreciate it. Where does the pull rope hook up to? I have never owned or used a logging winch before.

I roll up my pull rope and hang it on the hooks that are on the safety screen. Did they supply sliders to pull more than one log with?

I looked around for a nice used one on Craigslist. The 3501 and 4501 were both only $425.00, asking price, less than what I paid for my new one and $80.00 shipping.

I figured out where the rope went to. It was down in the hole. I also got an extra rope and a wooden handle to run the rope through. I'll probably put mine in the toolbox on the side. The hooks are for the chains from what I could tell in other pictures on the internet. The winch came with 3 choker chains and 3 sliders. I figured out that if I pull the rope the winch will engage. It is snowing here and play time with it will have to wait for a better day. I'll be happy when the owners manual for it arrives.

No No No No No, What I said was that I could buy a brand new one for $425.00 more than what people wanted for a used one on Craigslist. One guy wanted $2K for his used 3501. The price was firm. He claimed he paid $2995.00 for it. I can buy a new one in Vermont for $2425.00. I also saw a fairly nice used 4501 for $2500.00 firm. The guy claimed he paid $3800.00 for it. I paid $2925.00 for my 4501 brand new. The cost difference in both cases was $425.00 more brand new with a full warranty. Plus the 3 choker chains and sliders were free.

Igland was nice enough to email me the owners manual and parts manual within a day of asking for it.
