Has anyone tried one of these side dump FEL buckets on a CUT tractor?

It looks like it could be powered via a 3rd function valve.

I realize there is a tipping hazard here but I'm not looking to work with anything heavy or operate more than a couple of feet off the ground.

If you do a lot of trenching/sewer work they can be helpful. One side of the bucket sticks out past the machine which may or may not be a problem for you. I wouldn't put one on my CUT because it adds dead weight to your loader and you lose bucket capacity.

They are used in tunneling work extensively to fill haul trucks as they are mucking the broken rock out after the tunnel section was blasted out.

All depends on how much use your going to get out of it as your going to want a rear counterweight and loaded rear tires
in any case even with low discharge heights.

They’d work a lot better on a skid steer or loader because they have non pivoting front axels unlike a tractor.

Once upon a time, I saw a bucket with a belt on the bottom. It could unload on either side without tilting.

Sounds like a good way to put a smaller tractor on its side in a hurry.

Weight off center and higher in order to dump with no roll resistance from pivoting front axle.

I agree wholeheartedly. Plus it doesn't take much to 'warp' a FEL with a large shift in weight to one side.
