I am considering replacing my adjustable lift link with a hydraulic cylinder. While there are plenty of hydraulic "top links" on the market, I don't see any that are specifically identified for lift link use. then again, any reason why an appropriate top link could not be used?

Using a box blade for gravel driveway maintenance, jumping in and out of the cab is a PITA when you are trying to maintain the proper angle on the box.

Any DA cylinder that is of adequate size and will fit in the space after any needed modifications to the ends will work...

most guys that make their own sacrifice the solid link ends and move the manual adjustable link to the other side (typically left)...

Doing most grading work...I use the hydraulic side link almost constantly...

Good luck finding what you truly need off the shelf any place.

Hydraulic side links are just not a high volume product. They have many unique characteristics with a relatively small limited market for each type-design, so for the most part simply are not mass produced.

I know of no company other than myself that actually builds the correct hydraulic side link for your tractor, not even JD.

I would be happy to quote you one though, simply fill out the contact page linked to here. ;)

This is the Deere top and side links on my 3320, if I remember right your tractor would use the same. 10 years old and no issues.

Actually his side link should be different than yours. No angle on the clevis and has guides with the slots, not just the slots. His pin is what the picture shows. Again, not that the JD top & tilt sets don't work, they do. They just don't provide the optimum working lengths for the units.

SP-You using a box blade or a straight blade? I would be using a box. Primary job, maintaining crown on gravel common drives.

Yes, John Deere Top and Tilt Field Kit LVB25311. As Brian noted above the clevis end of the side link may be different for your tractor so possibly a different part number.

To the best of my knowledge, JD will not sell just the top or side link for the 3 & 4000 series tractors, you have to purchase the complete kit. So that might have been why he said what he said??
