Can anyone point me in the right direction on hooking up my PTO to this John Deere 205 Gyramor cutter? We bought this used, and I was told that I "just need to get a slip clutch for it". haha

To TBN Bowlingd. You have come to the right place to get answers.
It wouldn't be that hard to add a slip clutch to a sliding PTO shaft, but if you are planning to use the fixed PTO shaft shown, then it will probably have to be shorten to add a slip clutch to it.

Thanks! So you think I can put an after market slip clutch on that existing smooth drive shaft and make it work?
I think that PTO shaft pictured is a sliding shaft... But I'm very new to all this so I probably have no idea what I'm talking about. Haha
I did call John Deere and they can get the OEM parts to put on the factory slip clutch... But it's going to be over $700. I'd rather find a less expensive solution.

View attachment ClutchesSection.pdf You will need to probably do some modification to existing stub shaft from gear case. But here is Deere aftermarket clutch section that might help you out on some general purpose options or ideas. You could always drill a hole and make it a shear bolt set up.

Yeah, this one had a slip clutch. It seems there was a version with a shear bolt and a version with a slip clutch. In my case, the drive shaft isn't drilled for a shear bolt. Here is the parts diagram for the OEM slip clutch ($700+ from John Deere Vintage Parts):
I'm considering trying to either drill it myself and forget the clutch; or maybe having someone weld the PTO directly to the gearbox driveshaft. Thoughts?
My concern with drilling it is that I think this drive shaft is 1 1/4", not the standard 1 3/8:
