I saw one of these last week at a local dealership and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them. They are made by Normand in Quebec. They looked solid and well-built and the dealer selling them is reputable, says its a good unit. Anyone own one or have experience with one?

I own a Econor E-60, bought slightly used 4 years ago, been great . There are several snow-blower manufacturers in Quebec and Normand is probably the most commonly owned in my area.

I bought an E-72 when I got my TC40D in 2000. Drove up to Coaticook Quebec (only 45 min away) to pick it up. Paid $1200 US (no tax) which was about $500 less than my local dealer. It has had a good workout the past few winters - no problems. Works great!

hi bob was just wondering about bringing a blower across the border also, you said no tax , how does it work at the border. I go to canada every winter to snowmobile , but never brought back anything large like a snowblower .is there a duty tax or what thanks

No problems at all. I paid the dealer US cash and he made out some paperwork to go through a customs broker. When I crossed the border the US Customs agent said because it was for personal use I didn't need the broker (they would just cost me money). He checked the plate on the snowblower to determine the country of origin (don't want any Cuban snowblowers sneaking into the country) and sent me on my way.

I'm thinking about going across the border for my blower. Could you supply a dealers name and #. Thanks

The dealer is:
J.M. Chagnon Inc.
103 Main West
Coaticook, Que

(819) 849-2663

Ask for Raymond, I think he is the owner.

My local kubota dealer just quoted me $1455 (CAD) (~$1100 USD) for the Kubota Rear 3ph 63" B2782 snow blower with hand crank. Not sure where they are made but I believe they are made in Canada so no duty is due if you import them into the USA. Anyone use this blower? Steve
