Re: BushHog doesn\'t seem to care

Thanks for the reply, Kenny.
I think a big part of the problem in my case is that the L2800 is new for 2004, and so far has not been a huge seller, so I would guess that any mfr. would have to design a BH sub frame for it. I realize that this would take some time for anybody, but 90 days with no up-front notice or follow up is way too long. If you get a solid delivery date from a dealer who has one in stock or has one located, (that is to say IT EXISTS) I'd say go for it. My dealer strenuously assured me that my tractor is plenty strong enough to handle the BH650 mounted to the 3pt hitch and so far nothing's broke, but a sub frame gives you piece of mind. Next time around I will shop harder and get more feedback from TBNers' on an equipment purchase.

I suspect that Bush Hog is getting the subframe from the backhoe manufacturer. Might want to check directly with Amerequip as to availability of the subframe that you require.

Re: BushHog doesn\'t seem to care

That might be the problem, Bush Hog was buying their backhoes from Amerequip, and now are going to make their own. It takes alot time to get up to speed on all the makes of subframes you need.

Amerequip… THANKS for that information. I just checked their site and one of my close Kubota dealers is also one of Amerequip’s distributors. KennyV

Re: BushHog doesn\'t seem to care

Now for the followup.
On 9/13 I posted BushHogs stated intention to ship my sub frame on or about 9/24. The person at BushHog with whom I spoke assured me that I would get a phone call the day it was shipping out. Well, it's 10/10 and no call, no sub frame. The dealer is clueless. At this point I have arranged with the dealer to put the sub frame money towards an implement (haven't decided on which one yet). This is BushHogs loss, and it has soured me towards their products. Too bad. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Re: BushHog doesn\'t seem to care

Can you say Woods? Time to ditch Bush Hog and maybe your dealer and get somebody who can get you a BH.

Well, I really liked my 5' and now my 6' Woods RC's. But I got miffed at Woods myself a year back. My dealer ordered my new tractor and a Woods FEL at the same time The tractor came in in a few days, and we waited 2 weeks longer for the loader. He kept hounding them, and after a few promises which they did not keep, I canceled the Woods FEL and switched to a New Holland just to punish Woods. Ended up shooting myself in the foot for all my trouble. Serves me right.

familyman
I know this will make you happy.
Last week the BH loader plant in Jonesborough, TN sent their welders home 2 days because they did not have the steel parts available so the welders could work.
